Magic, Science, Poetry: C.S. Lewis and the Battle for the Modern Soul

Join us for a lecture and book signing with Jason M. Baxter (Ph.D., University of Notre Dame), Professor and Executive Director of the Center for Beauty and Culture at Benedictine College. Drawing from That Hideous Strength, Dr. Baxter will explore Lewis’s engagement with magic, poetry, and early modern science—and what it reveals about the formation of the modern soul.

All are welcome to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the Athletics Facilities Expansion, a key milestone in the Faithfully Forward campaign to renovate the north end of Chrouser Sports Complex. A brief program will begin at 3:00 p.m., followed by refreshments.

Commencement Celebration Concert

The Wheaton College Conservatory of Music presents its final concert of the academic year, showcasing the various large ensembles such as the Symphony Orchestra, Men's Glee Club, Women's Chorale, and Concert Choir. This concert is free of charge.
